HOW DOES IT WORK?

Arnica has been used for medicinal purposes since the 1500's and it well known for its successful management of swelling and pain associated with bruises, sore and strained muscle, joint problems, contusions, post operative bruising and discomfort and treats the symptoms of osteoarthritis, rheumatism and gout. The combination of the essential oils is wintergreen, peppermint, clove, menthol, rosemary and blue mallee eucalyptus. Their properties are analgesic, anti rheumatic, anti arthritic, anodyne, antispasmodic, anti inflammatory, anaesthetic, circulatory stimulant and carminative. They help relieve muscle pain, joint problems, lumbago. They stimulate blood circulation and lymphatic drainage to extract toxins and acids from arthritic conditions and trauma, induce muscle relaxation and reduce swelling.

Pain Relief Gel has the addition of Capsicum Oleoresin. When used topically, the active ingredient, capsician, is known to stimulate then block small-diameter pain fibres by depleting them of a neurotransmitter called substance P, thought to be the principal chemical mediator of pain impulses from the periphery. Substance P has also been shown to activate inflammatory mediators in joint tissue in osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. This linament is good for any pain associated with arthritis, diabetic neuropathy, post-herpetic neuralgia, trigeminal neuralgia, postmastectomy pain, mouth pain from chemo or radiation, cluster headaches and psoriasis.
